Jeff Mueller, senior pastor of Waikoloa Lutheran Church, Waikoloa, Hawaii, was born and grew up in Oregon and has been married to his high school sweetheart and ministry partner, Lynda, for 44 years. The Muellers have two married children and five thriving grandsons. All of them are actively involved in professional Christian ministry. Jeff received a B.A. Degree Major in Religious Studies in 1989 at Concordia University, Ann Arbor, MI. and his Master of Divinity Degree at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 1993.Jeff worked in various management positions in the grocery industry from 1978-1986 before heading off to Concordia-Ann Arbor to begin his training for the parish ministry. Since graduating from Concordia Seminary in 1993, he has served as senior pastor in three congregations before accepting the call to Waikoloa Lutheran Church in January of 2023 in the following capacity:
Vineyard of Faith Lutheran Church, Windsor, California 1993-2003 By God’s power and grace, Jeff planted and pastored a new church among the vineyards of Northern California that grew to 800 members and birthed one daughter church.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Honolulu, Hawaii 2003-2010 Jeff was senior pastor of this multi-cultural Honolulu congregation for eight years and oversaw the birth of six daughter churches in five languages throughout in the Hawaiian Islands.
Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hood River, Oregon 2010-2022 Returning to his childhood congregation, Jeff guided the rebirth of a church in long-term decline, which is now thriving and growing. Out of this now healthy mission-focused church, Child Beyond International was born in 2014. Through his mission trip travels to Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, El Salvador and Guatemala, God has birthed a burning passion in Jeff’s heart for orphaned, abused and abandoned children that continues today in his role as chairperson of Child Beyond International’s Board of Directors.
